About Our Story
At the beginning of 2024, Interconnect LLC, the company who owns and created Spibe, was founded by a small team that recognized a major issue: social anxiety and how it impacted people’s interactions. It all began with a guy sitting in a coffee shop, drinking his Americano, while dreading the difficulties of job hunting. As he looked around, he noticed everyone was glued to their phones, endlessly scrolling. He saw the same people every day and wished there was a way to talk to them and make new friends, but anxiety held him back, filling him with self-doubt.“What if they think I’m weird or boring? There are some crazy people out there. I wish there was an easier way to connect with people, make friends, and get to know them better,” he thought. He imagined a platform that could help people connect based on shared interests, making conversations easier to start. Excited by the idea, he left the shop and called his best friend, who agreed to join him on this bold journey to make connecting with others easier.As digitalization increasingly dominates our lives, we often forget the value of true human interaction—the kind that starts with small conversations and can lead to lasting friendships, romances, opportunities, and life-changing events. While discussing the social issues people face when trying to form genuine relationships, we envisioned an app that would eliminate the pressure of comparing yourself to others, allowing you to just be yourself. By focusing on small, meaningful conversations and discovering common interests—like favorite movies or sports teams—we designed Spibe to foster real connections.It’s not just an app for consuming content; it’s an app for engaging with others.
